Brown marmorated stink bug trapBrown marmorated stink bug adult emergence continues across all apple production areas, ranging from about 40% complete in Henderson County to almost 90% in Cleveland County. Pheromone trap captures also increased by more than two-fold during the past week in Henderson County, indicative of the increasing populations. Across 9 different locations in Henderson County, trap captures averaged about 26 per trap. In Cleveland County, trap captures remained steady at about 12 per trap. Continued protection of apples that are at least 10 to 14 days from harvest is recommended. Check the list of BMSB recommended insecticides for preharvest intervals.
